No one knows how or why. They have sprouted long black wings and fly off the trees. Then they fly into caves and disappear. Scientists believe that it is truly fruit bats (flying fox) carrying them to their home. The bats do live in these exact caves but there are no remains or DNA of the mangoes in the caves.
