A thoughtful harmless rant poem by Daniel Wu

A little thing

There is a little thing in my life
It’s called my true self
Its gotten quite small
But now,
People like me better
Right?

I can be athletic,
Without moving an inch
I can just act that way
And people think I am

I can be smart
Without going to school
Just fake sick
And people just assume

Now I’m older,
People start to grow
People start to see
They see my true self.
They know I’m not
Athletic, or
Smart, or
Kind, or
Funny.

Let this be a lesson
Show your true self
So you can work
So when people start to see,
They’ll know
That you are
Athletic, and
Smart, and
Kind, and
Funny.
